Leenie's birthday was great! Breakfast in bed, gifts, which consisted of: greg's... um... yeah..., and wes and lily's cards and bath supplies and chocolate. Then, the team split up. Lily and the birthday girl going to the spa, while Greg and Wes walked around Trafalgar square, piccadily circus, and green park. They also watched the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, and then checked out the British World War II museam. Good stuff!
P.S. Happy Birthday Leenie!

the British are so polite - even warning you about the horses thjey say "thank you" ...
Wes was amazed at finding the old style glass Coke bottle - I explained that it was the "buddy" .. am I really dating myself here??
No, we didn't attend a Cabinet Office meeting - if we had would would have kicked Gordon Brown's **** !!
The lions of Trafalgar Square--my favorite (well, besides the ones in front of the New York Public Library) (Bruce Cockburn fans know the song...).
In one of the Chronicles of Narnia books, one of the kids asks one of the others, "You've seen Aslan? Tell me, how big is he?" The reply: "He's bigger than the lions in Trafalgar Square, and grander, too!"
Love,
Yo' Literary Mama
I love the "thank you", too ... is that what you're supposed to say after they bite you??
