Edinburgh is awesome!
I love Edinburgh! Today, slept in, had vanilla pancakes, and then set out. first, a tour of Edinburgh, and also checking out the fair grounds, with tons of booths selling absolutely everything. Then, lunch outside, looking over a beautiful field full of activity. Then... I climbed the 300 steps of the Scott monument, which was incredible. Then, I took a tour of Edinburgh castle with greg. Now, I'm at the hotel again, and I'm going swimming! Oh, and i also took more than 100 pictures today. no, im serious. like five rolls
Train ride day
Today, we rode the train to Scotland. We meant to upgrade to first class, but that didn't work out, so (god forbid) we settled for our original seats in economy. I got the full, truthful, and quite sad English experience: All over the coach, men were standing in groups becuase they had no seats. The problem was, on the train, you could buy beer. Lots. No limit, really. The result? Said men ended up getting wasted, hitting the back of our seats, actually passing out in the seats behind us. Good times! Oh well, the weather in Edinburgh is great!

The big day
We did so much stuff today, I'm putting it in list form:
1. Took a tour of Arsenal Stadium, wicked cool. I got a soccer ball, and an Arsenal jersey.... with my name printed on the back!
2.Lunch, Leenie had friends over. I enjoyed Belgium pate with Italian bread and fizzy lemonade. Sorry mom, I'm not coming home!
3. The London Eye! We flew (yes, flew is exactly the way they put it) first class, which included a smaller group per cabin, no one hour lines, and a guide explaining all the sites
to us.
4. London duck boat tour, complete with awesome views (not to mention floating around in the river Thames), and a brilliantly funny tour guide! I recommend this tour to anybody coming to london anytime soon, it's great fun and YOU DON'T GET WET!
All in all, clearly the best day of my amazing trip! Life is good!

Leenies B-DAY
Leenie's birthday was great! Breakfast in bed, gifts, which consisted of: greg's... um... yeah..., and wes and lily's cards and bath supplies and chocolate. Then, the team split up. Lily and the birthday girl going to the spa, while Greg and Wes walked around Trafalgar square, piccadily circus, and green park. They also watched the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, and then checked out the British World War II museam. Good stuff!
P.S. Happy Birthday Leenie!

Camden

Today we were originally gonna go to Thorpe Park but the weather didnt allow and Linda also wasn't too well, so we went to Camden Market. We got there, bought really awesome iPod cases, had pizza, bought hand carved necklaces made of marble - wes a celtic knot, lily a black heart. we met up with greg and went to starbucks and lily bought a pretty black top. we went home and did some stuff for leenie's birthday (tomorow, guys, don't forget) and went out for pizza, which wes managed to finish in entirity. and we updated the blog on a mass scale, sorry again it was so late..x

Tuesday

Hey everyone, today was great! Lily slept in practicly to noon, while Greg and Wes ran an errand and checked out the Kensington Gardens. Then we met up with Lily's dad, Danny, who took us to lunch and then Madame Tussauds. It was great, consisting of a celebrity room, a sports figure room, a royalty room, a music figures room (including the beatles all sitting on a couch), and a world leaders room. Then a live horrors room, with wax models, actors, and sounds. Then, an Imax show on celebrities. All in all, a great time. I highly recommend it. oh, and THEN, Lily and Wes made dinner themselves - roast chicken with rice and salad. wes mutilated the poor thing. whooo!

Museums
So sorry this is late in the day!!
Slept late and went to the Science Museum - we first saw a great exhibit on rockets and cars and then a 'futuristic room' with information about science thats being developed, like being able to take a pill to determine the sex of a baby and such. Then we went to the Natural History Museum, which was really cool, and has absolutely beautiful walls (note pictures of us both above) then went to Starbucks in Chelsea. Wes completed an endless job - sorting through Eileen and Greg's HUNDREDS of CDs for 10 pounds in a very organised way, labels included. Full day!

Twoday - garden and sticky fingers
Part 2 of day two consisted of a photoshoot of lily in the garden with wes, the photographer, hanging out a window - just a few stories above. so yeah, that was that, and then we went out to check out some stores, where wes looked in vain for an ipod case (they're all for nanos, darn it!) and eventually settled for a pair of headphones as a form of retail therapy. oh, and frank, we went to sticky fingers, the rolling stones restaurant - its awesome. good times.x
